Bat For Lashes: Two Suns

Natasha Khan aka Bat For Lashes has a new album, Two Suns, coming out early April. The album is the follow-up to her debut Fur and Gold from 2007. Two Suns is the debut for Khan's alter-ego Pearl to step out. Khan describes Pearl as a "destructive, self-absorbed, blonde, femme fatale" (hopefully this scenario is far less Hanhah Montana than it sounds). Apparently the album will feature a battle between Khan and Pearl. What will this battle end in? Will Khan prevail, or will the alter-ego of Pearl take over? Her press release states that the end of the album sees Khan "confronting the end of the illusory world and prepare for wherever the world will take her next".

The first single, out now, is 'Daniel'. I love the Karate Kid body paint on the cover. Khan has long said that Karate Kid, The Goonies and ET are big inspirations for her (think 'What's a Girl to Do').

Below is the video to 'Daniel' and the promo for her new album Two Suns, shot in Joshua Tree National Park, California.
